Vari-Lite attends Tour Link Conference and Receives "Top Dog" Award
Vari-Lite recently attended Tour Guide Magazine's Tour Link Conference in Mesa Az and wins Tour Guide's "Top Dog" Manufacturer of the year award. Pictured below is Bryan Hartley (left) who won the "Top Dog" award as Lighting Designer of the Year for his work on the 2007 Trans Siberian Orchestra tour. Vari-Lite attends Tour Tech East Conference
Vari-Lite recently attended Tour Tech East's 7th Annual All Access 2008 Conference and Tradeshow in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. In attendance from Vari-Lite was John Bilyk (pictured Left)- Canada Sales Manager and George Masek (pictured right)- Vari-Lite Product Manager who were photographed with Peter Hendrickson (pictured center)- President of Tour Tech East limited. Afterwards, the gang attended The Tour Tech East 18th Annual Fundraiser which supports the Aids Coalition.

Q1 Production Technologies in conjunction with Vari-Lite hold pre-concert event
On Friday, November 30, Q1 Production Technologies in conjunction with Vari-Lite, held a pre-concert event at GM Place to celebrate Trans-Siberian Orchestra's first ever Vancouver performance. Q1 principles Brian Konechny, Marc Raymond and Phil Bernard along with Vari-Lite's George Masek hosted over 100 special guests including lighting designers Roy Bennett, Graeme Nichol and Rob Sondergaard. The cocktail party and concert that followed were enjoyed by all. The Production Lighting Designer for Trans-Siberian Orchestra is Bryan Hartley (www.bryanhartley.com).
After over 20 years in rock-roll Mana still knows how to put on a show
At the American Airlines Center, the multi-platinum record-selling group Mana opened up to Vari-Lite for an all-access backstage tour. Led by Vari-Lite RSM Jaime Friedstadt, we got to see the complete rig and what we saw was a whole lot of VARI*LITE automated luminaires. You might also say, they were the only automated luminaires that anyone saw.
Marilyn Manson and Slayer team up for tour
Marilyn Manson and Slayer recently came through the Nokia Theatre, and with them were long-time friends and lighting designers Jason Cain and Sonny Satterfield. Jason, who LD's Slayer, uses a lot of "flash and trash" during his designs, while Sonny, who LD's Marilyn Manson, uses a more theatrical element to his design. But both use 26 VL2500 Spot luminaires to complete this high-energy and exciting tour.
Dave Pettingill in New York
On a recent trip to New York City, Dave Pettingill, from Seal Orlando, represented Vari-Lite in front of Lady Liberty herself. If you look close, you will see that Dave is proudly wearing his "VL500 Wash Me" t-shirt while posing in support of world peace.
