Dallas – Vari-Lite, a Signify (Euronext: LIGHT) entertainment lighting brand, today announced that their powerful, easy-to-use FLX S Series consoles are now shipping in the Americas market. The consoles run the award-winning ZerOS software and support the recently announced ZerOS 7.10 update.
The previously announced FLX S Series is a lighting design-centric console built for the non-designer targeted at small to mid-sized schools, houses of worship, and broadcast studios, as well as quick turnaround portable events in a lobby, breakout room, etc. “The feedback from customers about the FLX S Series has been extremely positive,” says Jon Hole, Global Product Manager, Systems and Controls at Signify. “They love how easy it is to select a color using tools like the Image Picker and Mood Boards by LEE Filters, as well as how simple it is to configure their system using our exclusive RigSync technology.”
The FLX S Series is available in two versions and supports up to 48 fixtures on the FLX S24 and 96 fixtures on the FLX S48. The consoles include a 7” multitouch screen for quick, dynamic adjustments, while also providing four physical encoders and seven dedicated physical buttons for go, record, delete, and more. Both the FLX S24 and S48 feature up to 1024 channels of DMX control, and fixtures can be connected via the two 5-pin DMX ports available or over the onboard Ethernet connection, with support for protocols such as Art-Net, sACN, CITP, etc.
“One of the biggest benefits of our consoles is our ZerOS software,” adds Hole. “This is a stable software platform with years of ongoing development and improvements, and we continue to make updates to the platform. The ZerOS 7.10 update that we announced earlier this week is a great example, bringing an intuitive way to control multipixel fixtures as well as a fixture library update. We’re excited to bring the great capabilities of ZerOS to the Americas market with the FLX S Series.”
